【明報專訊】When school started I had new teachers, and for the first time I was able to select some of my subjects. Electives, they were called. Courses were offered in auto and airplane mechanics, in printing, woodworking, drafting and metalworking. Or you could study art, stage acting, or writing. I signed up to take classes in writing and art. Hank was ahead of me by two years and was already taking woodworking and football, and from that point on I saw less and less of him. Until he broke his collarbone, it was practice, practice, practice. In the end, he had to give up football and began to follow in our dad's footsteps by playing basketball.
