All that's certain is that once, this little lump of land lay just off the coast of the Big Land, for as long as anyone could remember. One day, it was feeling quite fed up with its circumstances and wished that it was somewhere else. Now it was suddenly far out in the middle of a great ocean and at the mercy of the wind and the waves. No more safe harbour; no more protection from the elements.
