【明報專訊】My friend Jane had disappeared from our regular social gatherings for a month. Rumour had it that she was dating someone smart, successful and intellectual like herself. Jane works at an NGO and has, for as long as I remember, concerned herself with the under-privileged and needy. Her job brings her to encounter heart-breaking situations which she usually deals with professionally. Naturally, any suitor would have to share her vision and her deep care for people. Judging from her absence from us, the recent dates must have been going well. Diligently containing our curiosity, we awaited her to resurface with some sweet gossip to share.
