A Journey Backwards : Nightmares from night buses
文章日期:2018年1月15日

【明報專訊】Night buses are among the most popular modes of travelling among backpackers. They are cheap, time-efficient and in some cases, exotic. Yet, most night buses work like cocktail shakers. After ten hours of them, you are well blended into a Ramos Gin Fizz — perfectly dizzy and disoriented. To make things worse, night buses beat the opening hours of all major amenities. I recall arriving Prague at 4am, when fellow travellers dashed for the public toilet with burning needs, only to find it closed for another three hours. Diligently forming a queue, most people were barely awake. Yet, for fear of having to re-queue, no one dared to leave. The final moment of release must have felt like a reward for everyone.
