【明報專訊】IT IS now less than a week from the Chief Executive (CE) election vote. Electioneering has entered its final stage. Mud has been slung, misdeeds have been exposed, and sneak attacks have been made. Since some time ago, it has transpired from time to time that administrative officers (AOs) are unhappy with Carrie Lam, one of the CE candidates. An "anonymous senior AO" has even written an open letter which contains serious allegations regarding Mrs Lam's character. However, it lacking sufficient proof, people feel what he has done seem political defamation. That runs counter to the "gentlemanly contest" expectation.
