【明報專訊】IT is more or less confirmed who will take part in the upcoming Chief Executive (CE) election. Over the past few days, the candidates have made appointments to meet with members of the Election Committee. Not only should candidates refrain from making policy promises just to curry favour from electors in disregard for the interests of society as a whole, but they should state their positions clearly on matters concerning society's overall interests. The policy on land and housing is one of the areas which candidates should treat seriously and concerning which they should come up with specific policies so as to allow citizens to judge whether they have a way to tackle the persistent problem.
