【明報專訊】THE SAGA surrounding the swearing-in ceremony of the new Legislative Council (Legco) term has so developed that the authorities, acting on behalf of the Chief Executive and the Department of Justice, made an urgent application for judicial review, seeking to overturn Legco President Andrew Leung's decision to allow Sixtus Leung and Yau Wai-ching to retake the oath. They also applied for an interim injunction to bar the two lawmakers from retaking the oath. The judge granted the application for judicial review, but he refused to issue an interim injunction. It remains to be seen whether Sixtus Leung and Yau will take the oath again today (October 20).
