【明報專訊】CHIEF EXECUTIVE Leung Chun-ying gave a comprehensive and detailed explanation for the twists and turns of the Wang Chau public housing plan in a press conference yesterday (September 21), which was also attended by a Secretary of Department and two Directors of Bureaux under his leadership. All the doubts that were raised over the past half month have now been explained and accounted for. However, the affair has brought to light the political intrigues of the highest echelons of government. The authorities have to give serious thought to whether top government officials are united as one and whether the situation in which they are seemingly in agreement but actually at odds (to the detriment of the standards of governance) should be allowed to continue.
