【明報專訊】THE PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT at Wang Chau, Yuen Long was radically scaled back, leading to allegations of collusion between "the government, rural groups and businesses". To deal with the matter, it is necessary to not only find out whether the government gave in to pressure from rural committees in its decision-making process, but also clarify the messy use of the piece of land where the public housing project and a car park overlap. Furthermore, the government should take the opportunity to announce the timetable and road map for the full implementation of the Wang Chau project so as to give a final decision on the plan and get things moving.
