【明報專訊】MANY beaches and coastal areas in southern Hong Kong have recently been plagued by a huge amount of marine refuse, including packaging materials carrying Simplified Chinese characters believed to come from the mainland. Leading around 60 government officials including Secretaries and Undersecretaries of different Bureaux, Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying set foot on a beach on the southern coast of Lantau Island recently, and together they collected 1.35 tonnes of garbage within just around an hour.
