【明報專訊】THE WAY Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT) operates wet markets in public rental housing (PRH) estates has changed their nature. Supposed to provide residents with services they need in everyday life, they have become real-estate projects of which the first aim is to generate profits. Link REIT having sold shopping malls under its banner or outsourced their management, it has become even more inconvenient for residents to get groceries, which have become even more expensive. PRH estate markets have deviated from the purposes they are supposed to serve. Some ways are dubious morality-wise, and it has aroused concern whether they are in line with statutory requirements.
