【明報專訊】A new year has begun. Looking back on the past (when arguments over constitutional reform plagued Hong Kong to the detriment of its development in various aspects) and looking to the future, many hope we will put politics aside and busy ourselves with what Hong Kong people are most familiar with: economic development, social construction and livelihood improvement. Recently, Arthur Li Kwok-cheung has been appointed chairman of the Council of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). To that HKU alumni have reacted strongly. Many are thus worried that the struggles over the HKU issue will continue. Hong Kong is in disarray. Where should it go? What course of action will best advance its interests? It is worth the while of those who love and care about Hong Kong to consider these questions and make suggestions on them.
