【明報專訊】AS we have seen over the past few days, the central government's efforts to prop up the mainland stock markets have achieved little success. While the instability of the mainland stock markets continues, the Hong Kong stock market, caught up in the crisis, has experienced a market crash thanks to the central government's rescue efforts. Yesterday (July 8) it plunged more than 2,100 points at one point, before closing 1,459 points lower. In terms of HSI points, yesterday marked the fourth biggest market crash in history.
