At the end of the day he walked home, and as he did I could hear him muttering (喃喃自語) strange words to himself. "Oh, please," he said. "Give me strength, give me strength!" I knew that Milton was not asking for the kind of strength that builds strong muscles: he was asking for the courage and the ability to withstand pressure and suffering. "It looks like another day of rain! Give me strength! Will the sun never shine?"
