Restoration of order
期望警隊恢復秩序 假手外求必見變局

【明報專訊】THE OCCUPATION has gone into its 60th day. Injunctions have been granted to trade bodies that require people to leave the roads they have occupied. The authorities have attempted to end the occupation impasse by means of those injunctions. Owing to what happened when bailiffs cleared obstacles in Mong Kok with police's assistance yesterday, it is hard to tell whether the authorities will succeed in having the occupied thoroughfare sections cleared. Society can only hope the police's restrained way of clearance will work. If it does not, police officers will have to use more force to restore order and unimpeded traffic. It is hard to assess how heavy the price is which society will then have to pay.
