Strategic shift
佔領運動階段有成 減少擾民應轉陣地

【明報專訊】IT IS not yet known what the occupy movement will bring about in the way of democratisation, but it is beyond dispute that it has impeded social functions and made it hard for some tradesmen to earn their living. Popular discontent is growing. If some thoroughfares remain occupied, popular sympathy and support for the occupy movement will wane, conflicts may arise between occupants and those who are against the movement. If it drags on, the possibility of the government clearing the occupied places of protesters cannot be ruled out. Bloodshed may ensue in that event. Therefore, if the occupants persist in their sensible, non-violent way, they should consider making strategic adjustments. They should consider, for example, engaging in protracted warfare in a park, say, Tamar Park or Victoria Park. By doing so, they can continue their fight without inconveniencing their fellow citizens.
