【明報專訊】Kano is currently a blockbuster across the strait. Within 4 days of release, the box office in Taiwan exceeded US$9.8 million. The movie is also an enjoyable crowd pleaser in Hong Kong. Earlier this month, some local moviegoers, leaving the theatre with teary eyes, were lucky to be "comforted" and greeted by several Kano actors. Apart from teaching us a life's lesson, the movie also portrays "a common memory that happened", in Umin Boya's words, in a southern Taiwan city.
